Wachichoo featured in new Hayleyffox.com interview

Native inspired, ‘Wachichoo’ play NYC’s Alternrock Festival this month. The Brooklyn five piece released their third EP last year featuring single, ‘Product.’ They’ve got a busy year ahead of them, where they hope to release more material and get a couple of extra limos. I asked them a few questions about the rise of their band name, future plans and what’s on their playlist at the moment…

Get hooked on the New Wachichoo single: “PRODUCT”

Wachichoo

The concept surrounding product is age old; man’s need to self medicate in order to get through the stresses of daily life. Feeling left outside looking in on the status-quo, he inevitably returns to his vice. When he is unable to find the pacifier, he boils to a frenzy. Realizing that he’s hell-bent on going down the all to familiar path of destruction. Leaving him with nothing but empty promises of amelioration.

Wachichoo Music Video!!

Check out the new Wachichoo music video for the new single “Don’t Bother Me” here:

“Don’t Bother Me” reflects the push and pull dynamic of 2 people who are attempting to make a connection in the wilds of New York City.

This video takes you on a journey exploring hip NYC locations, including Williamsburg, Soho, The East Village, and Times Square; as seen through the eyes of the two main characters, played by Ill-On C, the lead singer of Wachichoo, and stunning actress Kaitlin Pannone. They chase each other throughout the city, unsuccessfully attempting to connect as they explore the urban landscape and its colorful characters; including band members Java (bassist), Dominic Rubano (drums), and Chris Strange (keyboards).

Cinco de Wachichoo! 5-5-10 @ Wicked Willy’s NYC

Our good buddy David Denee braved the wilds of the West Village tourist scene to bring you photos of WaChiChoo in their native habitat.

The night was filled with raucous music and an atmosphere of Libertad! Libertad! Libertad! — for Big Chief Javachichoo, Holy Man Running Liquor, Little Wachita, Throwing Bones and Little Big Stuff came to free the PBR-infused collective from their spiritual entrapment with their magic sounds of thunder

It’s less than the price of a morning coffee and it’s way easier than showing up to watch them in greenwich village at 11:30 on a wed night.*
